Bom, no meio desta esquisitice toda, há uma artista assim para lá de comercial na qual eu sou completamente viciada: BEYONCÉ. Quem nunca? Adoro, adoro tudo, até a Irreplaceable. Por isso mesmo, quando saiu o vídeo-álbum Lemonade, há uns dois meses, fui daquelas pessoas que andou a ansiar ter nas mãos, no telemóvel vá, as musiquinhas todas, o vídeo completo, e tudo e tudo. Claro que isso já aconteceu há algum tempo e o propósito deste post não é bem dar-vos a conhecer o álbum. 

A Beyoncé decidiu publicar no seu site oficial algumas fotografias dos bastidores das gravações do Lemonade, com imagens que roçam o espetacular. 

Não consigo explicar o porquê de eu adorar esta mulher. Ouvir umas músicas dela é levar um boost de energia e confiança. Ridículo, eu sei, mas volto a perguntar: quem nunca?

No álbum Lemonade, Beyoncé conta a história de um momento menos feliz no seu casamento com o jay-Z, que dura vai para 9 anos. Traição e perdão são as palavras de ordem deste álbum que expõe como nunca antes a vida da cantora. Assim que o álbum saiu levantaram-se as vozes críticas, ora porque Beyoncé era uma mulher forte o suficiente para assumir a traição e perdoá-la identificando-se com outras mulheres, ora porque não passava afinal de uma frustrada que conta ao mundo que transporta adereços na cabeça e depois, coitada, foi perdoar o homem. Não quero saber. Beyoncé é Beyoncé, tal como Catarina é Catarina e Maria é Maria. É uma mulher como as outras e as razões que a levaram a perdoar uma traição e tornar a história pública só a ela dizem respeito. É fácil julgar.

I was never a person who liked the ‘hits’. Do you see those songs that the whole world is listening and enjoying at any disco or a beach or as the background sound on a big friends dinner? Forget about it. There is a little chance that I will like it. I'm not, with this, raising to a statute or an elite. On the contrary, it is very sad not to know how to sing thaaaaat song. I always look like a creep that think that is wiser than in fact is. I’m not, really. I don't distinguish indie rock from and alternative rock. Sometimes I don't distinguish rock from metal so, please lower your expectations. The truth is that my teeth grind of nerves when I start hearing certain symphonies that someone decides to play.

Well, in the middle of all this weirdness, there is an artist that, even though she is beyond commercial, I am really addicted to: Beyoncé. Who never? I love it, love it, even Irreplaceable. Because of that, when the new video-album Lemonade was released, about two months ago, I was one of those who really wanted to have it on my hands, or phone, all the musics, the entire video, everything and everything. Of course that happened some time ago and the propose of this post is not to get you to know the album.

Beyoncé decided to post on her official website some photographs of the backstage of the recordings of Lemonade, with pictures that rub the spectacular.

I can't explain why I love this woman. Listening to some of her musics is to have a boost of energy and trust. Ridiculous, I know, but I ask again: who never? Who’s the woman that never danced Bey in front of the mirror?

On the album Lemonade, Beyoncé tells the story of a less happy moment on her marriage with Jay-Z, which lasts for 9 years. Betrayal and forgiveness are the words of order of this album that exposes like never before the life of the singer. As soon as the album was released critical voices raised, either because Beyoncé is a strong woman enough to assume the betrayal and forgive it, identifying herself with other women, or because she wasn't more that a frustrated person who tells the world how she transports things in her head and then, poor thing, forgave the man. I don't really care. Beyoncé is Beyoncé, just like Catarina is Catarina and Maria is Maria. She is a woman like the others and the reasons that led to her forgiveness and turn the story public it’s a thing that only she should care about. It’s easy to judge.

O que importa neste álbum é arte. É muita coisa bonita junta no mesmo vídeo-álbum. As músicas, com participações de James Blake, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Father John Misty e mais uns quantos, estão para lá de bem, mas, e o vídeo? Maravilhoso. Deixa-me assim agarrada ao ecrã do início ao fim. Dizem que esta é a obra-testamento de Beyoncé. Cá eu concordo.

“Eu tive os meus altos e baixos, mas encontrei sempre a força interior para me levantar. Serviram-me limões, mas fiz limonada”. Esta é frase dita pela avó de Jay-Z numa das faixas do álbum e ao longo do tal vídeo. Foi também a ideologia que deu mote ao nome do álbum. Temos mesmo de tentar sempre ser a melhor versão de nós próprios. Com o que temos, com as condições que enfrentamos o dia-a-dia, temos de fazer o melhor que conseguimos. Pintar a vida com cores.

What matters in this album is the art. There’s a lot of beautiful things all together happening on the same video-album. The songs, with participations from James Blank, Kendrick Lamar, The Weekend, Father John Misty and many others, are beyond good. But, what about the video? Wonderful. It is capable of lefting me clinging at the screen from the beginning to the end. They say it's a will-work from Beyoncé. I agree.

"I had ups and downs, but I always found the inner strength to raise myself up. I was served lemons, but I made lemonade." This is the phrase said by Jay-Z's grandmother in one of the tracks of the album and throughout the video. It was also the ideology that gave name to the album. We really always have to try to be the best version of ourselves. With everything we have, with the conditions we face everyday we have to make the best possible. Paint life with colors.
