Há muito que ando a prometer que vou mostrar-vos como está a nossa casa. A última vez que o fiz aqui ainda estava numa pura revolução. 

Só no passado fim-de-semana, quando fomos a Sidney, é que conseguimos comprar mais coisas que esperamos que sejam as últimas (pelo menos no que toca a grandes volumes). A verdade é que (e acho que muitas pessoas se vão identificar com o que vou agora dizer), uma casa nunca está realmente pronta ou acabada. Para quem gosta de decorar espaços e de os tornar mais harmoniosos e confortáveis sabe que estamos sempre a pensar no que se pode acrescentar, no que se pode mudar, no que se pode tirar para melhorar. Há sempre uma ideia nova, uma nova adaptação a fazer. 

Mas por agora estamos satisfeitos, especialmente com o quarto e a casa de banho. A dividir casa, estes foram os únicos espaços que decorámos tal e qual como queríamos. Ainda há fotografias por escolher e imprimir para pôr nas molduras, mas a essência está lá. Estão lá o branco e o cinzento, como sempre. A base de todas as bases. Tendo o branco e o cinzento podemos criar, acrescentar cor e dar um rumo ao espaço. Optámos pelo azul mar e pelos esverdeados leves. A fazer lembrar a natureza e esta vida à beira-mar.

I’ve been promising that I will show you how our house is. Last time I did it, the house was a complete mess. 

Only last weekend, when we went to Sydney, we bought a few things that we hope that will be the last ones (at least from the big things list). The truth is that (and I think that lots of people will identify with what I am going to say) a house is never finished. For those who like to decorate spaces and make them more confy and cosy, you know what I am talking about. We are always thinking about what we can add, change or take from the place to make it better. There’s always a new idea, a new adaptation to make. 

But, for now, we are happy, specially with our bedroom and bathroom. Sharing the house, these were the only areas that we could arrange just the way we wanted to. There are still some photographs to choose and print, but I think the essence is already there. Grey and white are there, as always. The basics. Having white and grey, you can create, put some colour and give a way to the room. We chose blue-sea and light-green. Remembering nature and this sea side life.
